Alberto CastielAlberto Castiel, M.D., FAAFP

Alberto Castiel, M.D., FAAFP is a Board Certified Family Physician. He was born and raised in Manhattan, New York City and received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at St. John’s University also in New York. He later trained at the University of Florida Family Medicine Residency. He has been in private practice for 20 plus years and treats a wide variety of illnesses and conditions. His focus is on prevention of chronic diseases, Diabetes and the Cardiovascular Diseases.

Dr. Castiel enjoys teaching and lectures all over the U.S. on various disease topics and is also a Courtesy Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Florida School of Medicine, Florida State University School of Medicine, and Nova Southeastern University School of Physician Assistants.

In his recreational life he has a passion for all sports especially racquetball, motorcycling, working out, and scuba diving which sparked his interest in Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care.

He is fluent in both English and Spanish. The patients of Global Family Care are in incredibly qualified hands under the watch of Dr. Castiel.

Mark BalesterMark Balester PA-C, MPAS

Mark Balester PA-C, MPAS  is a nationally certified physician assistant with Global Family Care for 8 years, and he has 22 years of experience as a practitioner and has a Masters Degree in Physician Assistance.

Mr.  Balester was born and  raised  and educated in Ohio.  He received his  Bachelor of  Science  degree from The Ohio State University.  He then graduated from the  Physician Assistant program at Cuyahoga Community College, and finally his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Nebraska Medical Center.  He has practiced since 1994, beginning with Emergency Medicine for three years, and then finding his true calling in Family Medicine.

He enjoys getting to know the patients and their families which is why family medicine appealed to him more the emergency department.  In his academic time his interests are cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, respiratory and orthopedic issues.

In his leisure time he enjoys woodworking, snow skiing, fly fishing, and scuba diving.
